The nursing-friendly loungewear that is soft enough to sleep in, and dressed enough to open the door.

Twenty-five breastfeeding-friendly outfits from twenty pieces, in dusty rose, espresso, ivory and taupe, for the weeks your whole world is four rooms wide. Every top wraps, unbuttons, clips or lifts over a nursing bra. Every bottom has a drawstring or a wide soft waistband, so nothing sits on a scar or a middle that is still deciding what it is.

What mamas told me

Before I built this, I sat down with postpartum mamas and asked one question: what is the problem with getting dressed?

These are the sentences that came back, almost word for word, from woman after woman. I kept them. Every choice in this capsule is an answer to one of them.

I feel trapped in the leggings and baggy tee rut, but I want to feel like a person again.
I have a closet full of clothes but absolutely nothing to wear for a quick outing.
I feel guilty spending money on clothes for a body that might change again next month.
Nothing from my pre-pregnancy closet fits, and trying to force it on is just depressing.
It is nearly impossible to nurse in regular clothes.
I am constantly leaking or covered in spit-up.
High-waisted pants either dig into my C-section scar or roll right down under my belly.
I look in the mirror and do not recognise who is looking back at me.
Buttons, zippers and tight waistbands are painful.
To the rut, the mirror, the closet full of nothingTwenty-five outfits, decided, for the stretch nobody plans a wardrobe for: the sofa, the night feed, the casserole at the door, the first walk to the postbox. Still soft. No longer the same tee for four days.
To the guilt, and the body that changes againDrawstrings, wide soft waistbands, wraps and buttons: shapes that fit in week one and in week twelve. Ordinary enough to be in your drawers already. If you buy anything, you buy the nursing bra and the clip tank, and you buy them once.
To the nursing, the leaks, the scar, the waistbandsA nursing bra or a clip tank under every outfit, tops that open with one hand in the dark, and not one waistband that sits on a scar. Espresso is honest about leaks. Every outfit note says exactly how it opens.
Built against every one of those sentences, for the first weeks home.Twenty-five outfits, twenty pieces, $14.99 once.

How it is worn

Not a flat lay on a table. A body, at home, in the first weeks.

The sofa, the kitchen at dawn, the doorstep, the night feed with the lights low. Every outfit in the guide has its own photo like these.

Outfits for the sofa, the doorstep and the 3am feed, in the same four soft colours.

Four of the twenty-five

Every outfit in the guide is shown like this: laid out, then worn, with the note on why and how it opens.

The taupe wide-leg pants, the espresso joggers and the ivory tee carry more of these outfits than anything else. You do not have to own any of it: the shapes are deliberately ordinary, so you can find them in your own drawers and in any shop at any price. What you are buying is the arrangement, not a shopping list.

The palette

Four soft colours that never argue with each other

Two neutrals carry the capsule, one dark anchors it, and one colour lifts a tired face. Any two pieces you grab in the dark will go together, which at 3am is the whole point.

THE LIGHTSThe base
IvoryThe tee, the cardigan, the lounge pants, the stripe, the slippers, one bra. The pale thing.
TaupeThe clip tank, the zip sweatshirt, the wrap dress, the wide-leg, the slides. The in-between.

The pale thing nearest a tired face, and the warm neutral that makes loungewear look chosen.

THE ANCHORThe dark
EspressoThe robe, the henley, the joggers, the cropped pants, one bra. The anchor.

One in most outfits, and the one that is honest about what the first weeks do to clothes.

THE COLOURThe lift
Dusty roseThe wrap top, the pyjama shirt, the shorts, the button dress. Softness near your face.

One dusty rose, in the wrap top, the shirt, the shorts and the button dress. Once in an outfit, never twice.

The one ruleOne pale, one dark, and rose when you want it. Ivory pants with the espresso henley reads as dressed. Espresso joggers with the rose wrap top reads as a person who has decided something. The stripe counts as ivory.

Cool toned? The guide swaps the whole palette for you, shade for shade, and not one outfit changes.

Built into the page

It is not a PDF you scroll once. It is a page that works for you every week.

The PDF is there for the print. The page is where you live. It reads your colouring, your shape this month and your calendar, and it stays where you left it on every screen you own.

The guide page on a monitor, a laptop and two tablets: the cool palette swap, the shape section and the planner
IF THE COLOURS ARE NOT YOURSThe same capsule, in coolSilver over gold, navy over camel? One section swaps the whole palette shade for shade. Every shape, formula and feeding rule stays exactly as it is.
FOR THE SHAPE YOU ARE NOWWhere you are carrying it this monthNot apple or pear. Through the middle, in the chest, in the hips, all over: pick the paragraph that is true this month and it tells you which of these pieces to lean on, and why. Come back when it changes.
YOUR PLANNERA week and a month, filled by youTap a day, pick an outfit from the guide, add a note (the meeting, the clinic, the handover). Walk the month forward and back. It remembers, so Sunday night takes four minutes.
PRINT OR PDFUS Letter and A4Two buttons. Your week with the outfit pictures and your notes, then your month, as two landscape pages. Save it as a PDF or stick it on the fridge.

Watch it work

Two minutes of the page doing its job. No voice-over, just the clicks.

Recorded on a guide page exactly like this one. Every capsule has the same planner and the same Anah; only the clothes change.

THE PLANNERA week on real days, then the month, then the printTap a day, choose from the outfits, add a note. Switch to the month and it is already there. Print it in US Letter or A4, or save it as a PDF.
ANAH, DRESSING YOUShow me in thisOne photograph of you, once. Then any outfit in the guide, on your body, with your face and your hair exactly as they are. Three are on the house with the Soft Landing Capsule.

From me

Loungewear is not giving up. It is the uniform for the hardest job you will ever do, chosen on purpose.

After my second, I lived in one pair of leggings and whichever top had the fewest marks on it, and I felt invisible in my own house. When a friend turned up at eleven I hid. It was not that I wanted to be dressed up. I wanted to feel like a person, and nothing I owned was soft enough and decent enough at the same time.

That is all this capsule is. Twenty soft pieces that go together, in four colours that make a tired face look rested, with a nursing bra or a clip tank under every outfit so the feed is never a reason to take everything off. Wrap tops, a robe with a shawl collar, joggers with a real drawstring, a dress with buttons all the way down.

Twenty-five ways to wear them, each shown flat and on a real body, because at 3am you should not have to imagine anything. Put one on, feed the baby, open the door. You are allowed to feel like yourself in the first weeks too.

Questions

What mamas ask before they buy.

Do I have to buy the twenty pieces?

No. The shapes are ordinary on purpose: joggers with a drawstring, a V-neck tee, a cardigan, a wrap top, slippers. Most of them are already in your drawers in some form. The guide tells you which two to buy first if you are buying, and what to use instead if you are not.

Is it just pyjamas?

No. Every outfit here was chosen so that when somebody arrives with a casserole you look like a person who got dressed, and so that at 3am none of it has to come off over your head.

I had a caesarean. Will the waistbands work?

That is the reason for the drawstrings and the wide soft waistbands. Nothing in the twenty sits on a scar, and the shape section tells you which bottoms to lean on while you heal.

Does it really work for feeding?

A nursing bra or a clip-down tank is under every outfit, every top wraps, unbuttons, clips or lifts, and every outfit note says exactly how it opens, including in the dark.

What is the difference between this and the Work From Home Lounge Capsule?

This one is for the first weeks: softer, looser, built around healing and the night feeds. The Work From Home one is for when the laptop is open again and the top half has to look like a person on camera.

Can I print it?

Yes. The PDF is designed to print, and the planner prints your week and your month in US Letter or A4.

Is there a refund?

No, because the guide is delivered the moment you pay. The free Postpartum Lookbook on the home page shows you exactly how I lay outfits out, so you can see the style before you spend anything.

The first weeks are hard enough. Getting dressed should not be one of the hard parts.

A bra that clips, a top that opens, a bottom that does not dig, and one soft layer. Copy an outfit tonight and tomorrow is decided before the first feed.
